student paper competition

  • Only one Student Paper Competition (SPC) submission per student is allowed.

  • For consideration in the SPC, the student must be the first author and the only student author of the paper.

  • To be eligible to receive an award, the student must register before the early registration date and must present his/her paper at the conference. Having someone else present your paper will void your participation in the competition.

  • If submitting your paper in the SPC, you must check the Student button on the Online Submission. In the Student Verification field, please enter your Advisor’s full name, and check the button that says Agree, by checking this button this will serve as verification that your Advisor agrees that their help was of an Advisory nature only.

  • All SPC papers will be judged using a double-blind review process. In double-blind reviews, the identities of the authors are withheld from the reviewers in addition to having the identities of the reviewers withheld from the authors.

  • Awards will be presented during the banquet.
